PET LICENSING REQUIREMENTS

Did you know all dog owners are required to license their pet?
Per Chapter 6.02 of the Gardena Municipal Code every dog owner must register their animal(s).

Why is this required?
It is important to license your dog(s) in order to prevent the spread of rabies or other disease outbreaks in our City. Having a license can also help to return your lost pet(s) to their owner quickly.

Most importantly, it is state and local law to license our furry friends.

How do I obtain a license?
Licenses may be purchased by completing a license application form and mailing it in with proof of rabies vaccination, proof of sterilization, and payment to:

City of Gardena Attention:  Gardena Police Department PO Box 3707 Gardena, CA 90247
